You know it sounds like it's all a game to them. They want to see how many times they can break into a house and what they can accomplish in the time before the alarm goes off or someone shows up. I'm guessing it's teenagers from the sound of it.
At first it did sound like they were strictly targeting your house and that it might be all a personal thing but now that you've mentioned others I think it's just all a game to them and they want to see how many times they can get in a house and what they can accomplish in that time.
I wonder what they'd think if they tried breaking in to a house with a German Shephard standing guard? *scratches head*
I keep praying for you and hope things start to soon smooth out. Try not to let it get to you so much (Yes I know that's not easy at all to do) but if you allow it to continue to pull you down they'll have won more than managing to break in and cause some mischief.
I honestly think I'd be looking for a new neighborhood if that continued to happen, but again that's not easy and not really helpful when one has limited funds or doesn't want to move.
