Everyone I'd talked to said I'd be disappointed in Disneyland after being to Disney World -- "it's so much smaller." And while yes, it is smaller (only two parks compared to WDW's four, and you can see just how cramped they are for space since attractions are right on top of each other and the rest of the city is pretty much right across the street), I was in no way disappointed with what they *did* have. For having such limited space, they used it very, very well. And there's an...I don't know how to describe it, but there's almost a *quaintness* to the Disneyland park that I've never felt in Florida. You can tell they get better weather since line queues are almost all outside, and even a good number of the rides *start* outside before moving inside a building. Fantasyland looks like a medieval village -- their building facades are SO much nicer than in Florida -- and they crammed even more rides into it than Florida's has. I thought their Toon Town was much cuter than the one in Florida, too. And the landscaping...the flowers and flowering trees everywhere are gorgeous, and I've never seen lemon trees and strawberry plants growing *right next to you* while walking around Tomorrowland in Florida like I did in California. I loved it all. (Except the price of bottled water, which was nearly $3 for a smaller bottle than you get for $2.50 in Florida...ugh.)

I'd definitely recommend any Disney fans go out there at least once if they have the opportunity, but with the caveat that they go *without* expecting it to be the same as WDW, because there's no way it ever will be. It's the same, and yet it's very different, to the point of feeling "surreal" at times, like when you're expecting to see one thing at a certain point during a ride only to see something completely different instead. Just accept it and enjoy it for what it is and you'll be just fine. :D
