Yeah, fandoms are great in some respects, but in others, the in-fighting gets really exhausting and annoying. Pairings -- in every fandom I've ever been in -- seem to cause the worst arguments. Personally, I've always thought it was a waste of time to argue over something that boils down to personal taste. (Because seriously, if someone really doesn't like a pairing or character, why don't they just go read a different story instead of whining about how 'awful' a pairing/character is and let others like what they want to like? Whatever happened to 'live and let live' and 'treat others like you would like to be treated yourself'? It's *fiction*, people!)
In any case, it's always exciting to find someone who has more than one shared pairing/interest to you. So...it's nice to meet you! :D
